The inspiration of Re-light came from light refraction. We recreate a new product based on the lampshade which could refract light when rotating in different angles. We chose colored film instead of a lens to limit the size of Re-light, ensuring its weight and size are within acceptable llimits.
Meanwhile, we noticed the problem of light pollution a hard nut to crack so we would like to provide the general public with another solution. As an auto-controlling light windows or screen, Re-light could help relieve light pollution by changing the form of light pollution instead of trying hard to resolve the problem by tracking the source of light pollution which is comparatively more difficult to do.
Re-light的設計靈感來自於一種化整為零的設計思維。通過把普通的平面燈罩變成一片片扇片式的組件，通過舵機驅動組件旋轉從而使得燈罩的整體外觀發生變化，對光源發射出的光線進行折射和散射。這種原理類似三棱鏡對陽光的折射作用，只不過我們用薄如紙張的色散片替代了三棱鏡，使得燈罩的體積得到了控制，保持在一個比較輕便的範圍。
同時，在面對光污染問題，客觀存在的外部景觀只能有待政府調控和社會審美的整體提高，Re-light避開難以從光源入手解決問題的窠臼，另闢蹊徑由改變光的傳播媒介入手緩解問題。面對紛繁複雜的商業光環境生態，Re-light選擇從光傳播的末端（即用戶的私人空間）而非始端入手緩解問題，為用戶營造出一塊可調節光線的窗戶、或是一面屏風。訪客留言
