Two-sided Seals (Han Dynasty: 206 BCE to 220 CE)

一種兩面都刻有印文,左右有孔可拴紐帶的印章。通常一面刻名字,另一面刻字號、吉語或畫像,故又稱“兩面印”。盛行於漢代。

This was a type of seal that was engraved on both sides and has holes on the left and right for tying strings. Usually the name was engraved on one side, and the other side was engraved with numerals, auspicious words, or portraits; they are therefore also called "two-sided seals". They were popular in the Han Dynasty.
