Geometry in Public Housing
YU Chun Wing, Dennis

Public housing estates accommodate nearly one-third of the Hong Kong population. They are mostly of Modernism style while simplistic in architecture. Yet, there are always geometry hidden in common housings in Hong Kong. The photos are taken in Ping Shek Estate and Lai Tak Tsuen, where the former was built 1973 as a typical single-tower housing estate, and the latter is a 40-year-old estate adopting a bi-cylindrical architectural design unique in the territory.
