Memories- Making me Who I am

Instead of using traditional technique to draw my own face with the required drawing method, I constructed my university memories. I think memories are the thing that make me who I am today, they are parts of me. You buy postcards when you go travelling. I think the uni life is like a journey to me, hence, I have put them in the size of post card.

The first piece of this series was about my early university years, spending most of the time in joining the hall activities. I had a lot of fun, met a lot of people, had connections with people in a way that I never had before, since my parents were very strict that I wasn’t allowed to even go out with my friends when I was in high school. Some of the people I met has disappeared in my life, and I learn that not everyone who comes to your life means to stay here with you forever, they come to your life to teach you something. I really appreciate the lesson they bring to my life and I wish them ever happiness. From them, I have learnt that you can be good to anyone, be friends with anyone but you must put yourself in the first priority of your list, because if you do not, no one would.

However, I was too concentrated on that place, I started to think what I should do in my future. The second picture of this series is about the change in my uni life. I thought I should try something I think it is quite interesting to me, so I went to do aircraft modelling. However, as I had really worked on it, I realized my love and my interest towards aircraft was not on the same level as I loved about arts.

The third drawing is about my future, I want to travel around the world, to see more of this world. I think beautiful vista, different cultures and different people scattering all over the world are the true treasures that I have to hunt in my life. I wish that I could do this and I believe I can. I wish upon the stars.
