Bear with Feather

The yearling cub slowly woke up from her afternoon slumber and gently rolled back in the tall green grass. The last hints of sleep coursed through the young cub’s veins, as she leisurely welcomed the warmth of the mid-day sun. Stretching her limbs to the sky, she then rested a heavily clawed paw on her chest. Turning her attention back to the camera, a seagull feather dangled theatrically from the cub’s mouth. The child-like image had me on the verge of hysterics. I continued taking shots, all the while wondering if the cub was smarter than the average bear.
