The day grew dark then light again. It rained then the sun came out. Miss Dodo left a plateau and crossed lakes. She passed through forests and walked onto the ocean. Her light gait splashed some saltwater onto her calves. How many days has it been since she left the shore? She did not keep count. No one did. Amidst the glittering waves in the distance, she seemed to see a small island in the shape of a round steamed mantou bun. Miss Dodo realized how much she had missed the solid ground. Her heart lightened. She picked up her pace and charged towards that round blob.
天黑，天又亮起來。天雨，天又晴過來。渡老師離開草原，跨過湖泊，穿越森林，終於走進了海洋。她踏著水面，濺起浪花，就在連自己都記不起多少天沒見過陸地的時候，遙遠看見一座如饅頭般的小島。渡老師心底湧起一股興奮，腳下加快腳步，往小島的方向直衝。
