HART 1012 Introduction to Photography

These photos are selected student works from the studio art course, 'Introduction to Photography'. They were taken during a course field trip to Wan Chai, in which students strolled around the neighborhood of Wan Chai and made use of photography to reflect their emotional response to the outside world.

As commented by the course instructor, these works are not merely a visual record of the place. Many of the students have sought to make use of photography to show their deeper understanding and appreciation of the virtues of an old community in the post-modern era.
