This painting is a response to my complicated feelings developed during my stay in Hong Kong; excitement mixed with a sense of loneliness of being in an exotic country. In those days, one thing that was stuck in my mind the whole time was that I was longing of someone that I met before. Such thought grew bigger each day that I could not help but to find a subject to project my very self in the painting - a dog. This dog in my painting, waiting to meet his owner, laid his chin on the windowsill, looked sad and tired of the long wait.
