The website of HKUST Sustainability shows that in the academic year 2014/15 each student consumed around 2.4 ream of paper and the majority of paper comes from non-recycled sources. The paper consumption is incredible hugh and the situation is violating the sustainability of the enviornment. HKUST students seem unaware of this fact so we came up with an idea of making the Waste Paper Forest, an artwork which is made of exactly 2.4 reams of paper to call their attention to save paper.
Exhibited here are 2 of the trees from our original forest, the rest of them have been disassembled and recycled again after the course exhibition held in last Spring term.
